I have a standard mini with cooper s flares that I want to buy 12 inch rims for.

I already have the tyres which are 70 series 165 wide(Dunlops bought for $50 each) and have been told that the front tyres will not rub but the rear tyres will.

Just wanted to know that if I had 12inch tyres replacing standard 10 inch tyres without suspension modification and the tyres were 70 series will using hi -los, and jacking it up, will this solve the problem.

Thanks

No. The problem is the length of the rear trailing arm - not the height.

Cheers, Ian

UK and Oz Minis that had 12" wheels came with 145/70-12 rubber so they would miss.

165/70-12s are very high in the side wall, I think Josh (Mini Mad) had a drama with this size tyre on his Mini.
Cheers Pete

Yes Josh bought some 165/70-12 A008s real cheap, we used Mr Anglegrinder so they would turn.. just!!
They were fouling the outer bracket, not the arm- but it depends on what wheels you have.
