G'day.. Just wondering what the fix for a leaking selector Rod in a rodchange box is?? i know there are kits you can buy.. but do they really work? What exactly is involved? What are your opinions as to what i should do, its not pis-isting out...but im thinking i might get harrassed in the roadworthy... ideas fellas n ladies? -Cam |

For the roadworthy, our local mechanic told us to make sure the engine and that is clean. It may be leaky, but he said that aslong as it's clean, they don't care. |

i seen on a pommie forum that they use these repair kit to a varieing degree of sucess it is a rubber and a felt grommity fing i fink .... ouch that hurt makka |

Ahhh ok, yeah I've herd that too..... now.. I haven't checked the prices yet.. but whats the guestimation on price for one of these kits?? and whats involved in fitting the kit?? Thanx Guys for ya info! -Cam |

I installed one of these kits when I put a rod box in my car. I haven't noticed any oil leaks from it yet, so I assume it works. The old trick used to be use two seals, and this will work just as well, but as I understand it the proper kit will last longer aswell. From memory the kit wasn't very expensive, only a little bit more than the normal rubbers. Anto. |
