Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll get to start pulling apart the K gearbox I'm going to use to replace the Deluxe box currently on the 1100 engine. I have a spare 3.44 diff.Is it worthwhile putting that in inplace of the 3.76 that currently in it. At the moment it just seems to be reving a bit too hard for my liking once you get up to 80kph. |

Yeah a 3.44 is a good idea. 1098 has no trouble pulling it. Many 998 Clubbies ran a 3.44 too. ![]() |

On my smiths (read 'jumpy') tacho in top it's about 4k... Personally I think it could run an even taller diff. I think makka was telling me about his old clubby and something like 160km/h @ some insanely low rpm ![]() |

16.05/16.1mph/1000 rpm with 10" wheels, depending which book you read. I make it about 4,000 at 100kmh in mine, as Josh says. So at 110? on the freeway I sit on 4,400. Haven't been pinged yet! (where's me bit o' wood..) ![]() |
