What have you got? Carby, engine size etc. Try the process of elimination, is it getting fuel? a quick way to check is undo the fuel line to the carb, and hold the end into a container, have someone turn the ignition over quickly and see if the fuel pump is pumping and not stopping, do you know if you have a mechanical or electric/electronic pump? If its ok, then check for a good spark |

Take out your spark plugs and see if they are wet and black, could have flooded the motor too Tell us more about the motor as people have said and also what changed? Is it a points distributor? Did you change the points or condensor? What happens if you try to start with no choke and NO accellerator pedal? How long do you have to crank it over to actually start it? Peter. |

Check your points gap, (I think its 15 thou from memory) and clean them up if needed with a small file or some wet n dry. Check for a decent spark next then |

ok, so did you have a chance to try any of the ideas?? Are the plugs wet or black? Did you change points or condensor? How long do you have to crank it before it actually kicks? Anything else change? Peter |
