hey all. can any one tell me exactly what morris 850 bumpers were made from as fitted to the cars in the factory.? were the bumpers polished stainless steel or chrome plated metal? thanks

thanks. i was under the impression that they should be polished stainless. i cant remember why but for some reason i was almost certain it of it. so what year cars are the stainless bumpers for? anyone?

I was under the inpression that the rovers or the only mini's that came out with the stainless steel bumpers. The bumpers from leyland and morris minis where chrome plated, hence the rust found on most original bumpers. Hope that helps

Coopers had Stainless from the factory as well, not sure if that includes the 997 and 998 coopers...I'm torn on that one...
