Gday guys,

My alternator isnt really holding much of its "go" so is there anywhere to get a re-furb kit or bush kit?

Cheers,
Matt

the bits are available here if you have an autoelectrical wholesaler handy but for me this was more conveinient

Bearing places eg CBC will sell you the bearings, and any autoelectrician should have brushes. The latter are easily fitted without disassembly on most Lucas, except the 15AC without the plastic end cover (early Clubby)- they need to be stripped to fit
Not much else goes wrong, unless the voltage regulator carks it..

Ingrams used to supply diode packs, but looks like its now a real hassle.
