I was so nearly finished.......
Almost on my way to get the RWC check......
Then he bit me.... hard. I slammed my thumb in the door and had surgery this morning to put my thumb back together... But thankfully, I have only got a thumb cast, And I will still persevere to try and get RWC and rego for the show this weekend if not, We will be there.... somehow.

well... It was kinda like slam, ouch - oh cr*p thats alot of blood...!
Thing is I hit it sideways, so that immediately detached my entire thumbnail and caused a fair bit of soft tissue damage and tore apart my thumb a bit so I had to go get anaesthatised so they could stitch it all back up, and they have reattached my nail to protect the area because your "supposed" to have a nail there... lol..... Was told it will fall off when the new nail starts to grow back at least a six month timeframe. For now I gotta keep it wrapped up for two weeks till follow up appointment.

So, all in all, I broke a nail working on my car! in the most extreme way

This has stuffed me up a bit in regards to Minishow.... But I am glad I only have my thumb wrapped up, so I should be able to drive (is my left hand thats damaged) But like I said I will persevere and see what I can get done......!

thankyou guys.... It hurts like a banshee! Anybody here ever got a splinter under their nail or a cut down the side of their nail - think of that pain x 100....

whats at the front of my mind is that I just want to make it to the mini show .... lol I am a hopeless mini addict.... I was already covered in cuts and bruises from putting this car together this week, and now this to top it all off!

I really appreciate the responses.... thanx.

see, thats the thing - because I have installed the nice new stiff bouncy door seal, I have to REALLY slam the dorr to get it to shut..... not neccessarily on my thumb though......
