Does anyone know the rpm in the appropriate gear for each of the speed limits? I've got an SPi 1275 with an unconnected speedo cable.(hopefully). |

Not directly but Engine speed = Vehicle speed x Wheel rotations per km x diff ratio x gear ratio / 60 So I guess with a bit of google or maybe a search on here you will find your ratio's and a tape around your tyres will get you the last missing piece. |

Yeah OK thanks for the tip..... But surely there's a few people out there that drive via the tacho that could give me a rough idea. |

Mine was an Mpi but converted to carb now.. 70kms in forth is about 2500RPM and 100kms is about 3500-3600kms I think from memory. My 1st gear is pretty short also. Does this help? cheers |

Diff ratio in my SPi is 3.44:1 (standard I believe), although I haven't driven it yet, this is the same ratio as my S. This makes 80km/h 3000rpm in fourth, 100km/h just under 4000. Hope this helps. |

Thanks for that. I only needed a rough idea until I fix the problem. |
