What mags are suitable for the moke? Thinking of updating the wheels to some form of chrome type. I have sunraysia's at the moment which are good but would really like chromed wheels.

Any suggestions?

How much does it cost to get the sunraysia's chromed + bullbars, rollbar ect...

pretty sure it's illegal to get steel wheels chromed now - cos it changes the properties of the metal or some crap..... mokes can fit just about anything under the arches, as long as the stud pattern is the same and they don't rub on the inner guards.

So anyone, what cars, other than minis and HB toranas can we fit wheels off?

We put 17's on a moke once... ultra low profile tyres.
Looked awesome.
drove like a shopping trolley

were they custom drilled or what! I wouldn't mind seeing 15"s on a moke, I've seen 14"s...

We did getthem custom drilled.
we found wheels with the right offset.
then managed to get some blanks.

Yes, you do need to be careful of the offset. I have 13 x 5.5 hotwires and 185/60 Yokies on mine. With the stock drums the tyres JUST fit under the guards. With spacer drums and 8.4 disks they hang out by 1/2". Honda disks conversion without spacers on front keeps them under the guards. But then I need to get them engineered...

Not sure what I will do yet. Maybe 8.4 disks and black rubber flares as used on 4x4s? BTW car is not registered, so it has to be capable of passing an RWC.

Performance will drill any of their wheels to fit your stud pattern. They did my first set which were on mutant. They put up a fight at first as they said they wouldn't fit in their opinion, but as long as we were prepared that they wouldn't take them back, they then drilled them to suit.

Have actually seen a set of them (Lotus) on a moke after that over at Link.

Here are the 13 x 8 perfomance superlights, I'm sure you can also get them in 14,15.16 etc.

THe offesets were [erfect for this car.

A great looking wheel

We have those on our Rovers in 13 x 8 but I assumed that the moke owner wanted something a bit different.

4 x 4 inch PCD (101.6mm). Shared with Hillman Imp, Holden Torana 4cyl, Vauxhaul Viva, Morris Minors.

Whatever you do, DO NOT use 4 x 100mm wheels (Gemini, Mitsubishi, Honda, Toyota), even if they physically fit!

If I remember correctly they were 13" x 10" rims with 265/50 rubber. Way overkill on a Moke. The thing would hydroplane in the wet with not enough weight to keep the huge rubber on the road. It would also chew wheel bearings and attract every copper for miles.
