round 1 of WRC was mindblowing. monte carlo has been changed to include some of the local villages. seeing cars roar between houses at around 150km/h is great to see! (well, when it's WRC drivers on a WRC course - not when it's Capt Toolio in his VK).

lots of carnage also. i think id like to drive some of those roads - scenery was magnifique.

The WRC is not the same without McRae, Sainz & Makinen, the lastest crop of WRC drives drive the cars too straight, give me tail out sideways action any day. Can't wait to see "our Gold Coast boy" Chris Atkinson in a Impreza world rally car.

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.
