Before i begin, yes, i did a search, and yes, i looked at the tyre page.

Now, my Yoko's that are on the front (A539s) say that they have a maximum pressure of 44psi! Therefore, they probably shouldn't be run at the 'recommended' 32psi, no?

So... What should i run them at?

I think i ran mine at 28psi rear and 30psi front.

The 44psi is the SAFE limit, but it'll ride like a tip dray with pressure that high.

44psi would be maximum 'safe' pressure. Therefore 32psi should be quite fine. I've tried various repressure, form higher pressures (and yes using those tyres too) down to lower pressures.

I think I used to settle on about 35 front, 30 rear. But It's been a log time since I've played with tyre pressures on any Mini. At the moment it's at whatever my dad set it to last I guess.

im using 28 all round atm. i did use 32 when i first got the mini but it juz didnt feel like it griped to the road probably and would tram all over the place.

running at 28 psi though has made the steering alot heavier but has made the tyres grip abit better on the road.

i think the recommend pressure for a mini according to a manual is 28-30 psi isnt it?

Interestingly, I checked the tyres last night for the first time since buying it.
drivers front 32psi
drivers rear 40psi
passenger rear 36psi
passenger front 32psi

And these were cold pressures. Hate to think how high they were 2 months ago!

Reduced them to 32 all round.
Ride comfort has improved remarkably, and handling is much more settled in hard cornering too - doesn't break traction as easily now.

Will try dropping the rears 2psi, then all round another 2 psi.
This is on dry suspension (hilos) with 12" rims.

I run 30psi in mine.

Asked the tyre guy what I should run, he said 30 is plenty for 12" on a mini.

i dropped mine to 28 to get better traction.
