I tried a few things but the best was some car cut and polish and a toothbrush. Took a few hours but most of that was masking it up and painting. But cut and polish is the go for sure. cheep to |

Now all you got to get is a tin of BRIGHT SHINE from Big W, its about $10 a tin, its polish impregnated cotton wool, its absolutely amazing stuff to put on tarnished chrome, once you use it you will never clean chrome with anything else again... BELIEVE IT OR NOT.............. |

a proffesional! ![]() Mine were banged up, so I had to take it to a polisher to get it straightened then re-chromed.... mmmm fresh chrome! Im glad that my home polishing job looks ok next to fresh chrome! But in any situation, I am always happy to use autosol its brilliant, and then the stuff davo was talkin about - theres a few brands, I got one called never dull its perfect for touch ups once the car is back together cos you dont get paste stuck in grooves or anything.... and when you are using it, you just tear off bits of wadding but dont chuck the bits once you have used them, they get better, cos at first they have a bit too much stuff in them and you have to wipe on then wipe off with a clean rag. (microfibre!) After a while, its just a wipe over and you are done! |
