I got my new mags today. correction , I got my secondhand mags today after work and have spen the last few hours trying to get them clean. They are a lot better now trust me. But they still need some stronger cleaner, I only had sugar soap. What do you recomend? whoever said its a crappy job cleaning these things was right

$350 with one new tyre, 2 with very good tyres and one shitty tyre. I was hoping someone would be able to tell me how to polish them. We have no idea |

Start with about a 120 grade wet and dry sandpaper and then work your way down to a fine one. Had someone else do this for me a while back. Paid him $50 a wheel. I think it was worth it. |

They look good Dani, good pick up. I would also contact a few wheel reconditioners to get a quote. There's places down in sydney that do them for like $30/wheel. I know that's a lot of money for a 16yr old, but they will bring them back up like new. Other than that I would say try one of the metal polishes like autosol and buffing wheel on an electric drill after you give them a sand with fine grade wet and dry (wet) as Jan suggested. |

Polish the dish part you see and leave the spokes as they are...whack some silver/black/gold paint on the spokes if needs be. I think the sandcast look on the spokes is the way to go. You can make a polishing set up (for the 120 and finer) fairly easily with an old hub and an electric motor to drive it. |

Indusrial floor degreaser. spray on hose off. Paint the centres. Autosol, and a polishing rag for the final polish. Don't bead blast the rims as it turns porous(trust me) and your tyres will keep going down. |

Really really. We had a set blasted.... tyres would never stay up. had to powdercoat the whole rim to seal it. looked silly on the car without the polished lip. You can put tubes in but the rough alloy rubs on it causing the tyre to go down again |

i used to work at bob jane we had this rubbery goo you paint it on the inside the rim leave it for 24 hours and then fit the tyre makka |
