Now that the tyres on the Moke have worn a bit - will the car go faster or will it accelerate better to a lower top speed?

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

yes it will accelerate faster and it will go around corners faster due to slick tyres, lower centre of gravity and less unsprung weight

The other good thing Bloke is, if you happen to loose a wheel whilst driving, then since it has less rotational mass and therefore inertia, the wheel will not go as far down the street under it's own power, before a cabbie 'nicks it.
The cabbie however, will be able to shove it in the boot of his car faster for the same reasons as given above.
:D
