Post subject: | rod change length |
is there different length rod change mechanisms? put a A+ rod change into my roundy which previously had a remote chnage, and it seems like the selector should be longer so it can fit properly. the bracket on the end of the selector looks like it is supposed to go straight up but if i have it like that the bolts are where the whole for the shifter is, everything looks like it needs to me 50-100mm further back. the adjustment that can be done to lengthen the rods is already as far as it can go from what i can tell. sorry if you cant understand what ive said i cant think of a better way to explain it, will get some pictures which will be able to do the talking |

I have a late rod change shifter (A+) on an aussie A engine, no problems. Look into the moke option. ![]() |

you wouldnt be able to measure how long it is? engine is from mini king and came out of a half cut so you would assume the rod change mechanism is the one out of the half cut but you never know |

A Moke one is heaps shorter, much more than 100mm.. I know this because I cut a late Clubby one down to fit and welded it back together. ![]() |

There should be no difference between the Aust And The Uki rod change, They were all made in the Uki< However the auk did use a different mounting at the rear, I think you may have a copy of our catalogue, If so have a look at page 110 item 13 is what we used here and item 19 is what was used in the UK, Give me a call if you like we will sort it out for you at no cost. Best Regards John |

There are two different length rod changes. Carby version is the same as OZ cars. EFI ones are approx 1" longer |
