1. remove the knob off the old stick 2. push down and twist to take the cup off the top of the shifter box 3. remove the stick 4. Take the cup, nylon cup and spring off the old stick 5. Put the spring, nylon cup and cup on the new stick 6. insert the new stick in the shifter box 7. push down and twist to put the cup onto the shifter box 8. put knob on new stick |

this is the one I've got with the knob already ![]() how do you "remove" the stock stick off the shifter box? is it a roll pin or bolts holding the stick? |

Hi, I have fitted one before (Old KAD). Once you twist the cup at the bottom and remove the original stick, you will then need to knock out the two rolled pins in the original housing with a centre punch (being carefull not to munt the alloy housing! ![]() ![]() I have not included in the above instructions where you smash your fingers with the mallet and drive the centre punch into your knee! Best of luck... One thing I have always wondered is whether these quickshifts quickly shift your syncro's into the rubbish bin? |

The quickshift only shifts the fulcrum point of the gearstick. Unless your not using your clutch or flat changing i cant see why it would destroy synchros. |

MMmmm! I thought the quickshifts might do it faster too! Regardless, they feel nice when swapping gear and bring the stick closer to the driver...just don't rush it too much has always been the key to making gearboxes last. ![]() |

whats the easiest way to removing the rolled pin on the house? I tried removing this but no space for my pin punch and it'll be on an angle... |
