AFAIK Lucas never made an electronic 45D? what is inside it- a Pertronix Ignitor, Lumenition, Crane, or ???

I like the GT40 coil over the Lucas, but note the original oil filled one is supposedly more reliable than the newer epoxy filled GT40T (for Transformer) style. According to the racers... and they would know.

But, if you dead set want a GT40T, I have a near new one here which I'll never have a use for. Yours cheap.:P

You want a 12V coil, not a `resistor' one. So, GT40 or GT40-T,
NOT GT40-R or GT40-RT.

The electronic distributor that lucas made that looks exactly the same ( from the out side ) as the 45D is The 45DM4 These are best teamed up with a bosch coil Part Number HEC715 and a bosch Module Part number BIM075 You can use lucas module and coil, However I have found greater sucess with bosch

I'd just like to say that my GT40-T didn't last very long at all, and I don't think I'd buy another one.
