I'm rebuilding the type 4 tandem master cylinder because of some worn seals.

I'm just at the point where I'm putting the reservoir back onto the master cylinder body. Everything is nicely lubed up with fresh brake fluid so it should be good and slippery.

I have the new seals installed on the body but I can't get the reservoir to install on the body.

Is there a trick to getting this all to fit together?
I tried to install it with the seals on the reservoir but that does not want to work because of the tight clearances.

I don't want to force things too much in case the reservoir cracks or breaks.

Anyone have any ideas or tricks to do this?

Thanks,

Henry
