What do you use to top up this wonderful suspension? Unusually our has both shocks and hydro in the front end thanks a RAAF engineer who had it previously. It has sat for a spell (1.5 months) and seems to have settled on its suspension a little. Remedies? It is not the shocks as they are brand new. Please be conscious that we are new to the Mini game but not to cars. Any constructive comments welcome. Cheers Paddy & Tim Toowoomba Qld. |

You can buy Hydrolastic fluid from places like Karcraft. Or You can use a mixture of Coolant and water. (this is what I use ![]() |

Just get it pumped back up with hydro fluid, I did a Cooper S today that has been in a shed and sitting down on one side for years. Needed a new valve stem that side is all- easy, they are just a Schrader tyre valve. ![]() |

Hey guys, I will PM you the name of a couple of guys (I know one that has an actual darlek) but both would be able to help you out. If your car can't move ATM you may have to do some sweet talking and borrow a grease gun hydro pump (it isn't like topping up a reservoir - the line on a hydro car see 300psi of pressure). I also know someone with a grease gun hydro pump too. |

I have the `DrMini' hydro pump... 1x Mini clutch MC, 2x Mini front brake hoses, 1x Mini clutch feed pipe, 1 old Fiat 124 sports pedal box, and a connection fitting made from a Schrader brass valve cap. ![]() Total cost- Zip. ![]() It pumps more fluid per stroke than the grease gun one can. When/if I wear out the MC I'll fit a Clubby one with bigger reservoir. |
