i'm currently getting my Cooper S ready for the mini muster. plan to at least get a 3rd against the trailer minis. so What colour should the brake booster be? gold? or all silver? Cheers guys Brett |

The housing is zinc plated and clear passivated, ( Plain Zinc ) Regards John |

This will probably start an argument, To the best of my memory the housing was Zinc plated (silver ) however the cylinder part was not plated in fact imost of the time was not painted Regards John |

thanks for that, mine is all plated, its a replacment one, and some times you see that some have a gold finish (the big round thing) now wonder how to clean it?? Thanks John |

Yes I believe the housing is all zinc/ silver and the cylinder was unpainted, and after 40 years with a nice rusty glow. ![]() |
