Couldn't find in search. Is this the correct size? Is this the same as the castellated wheel hub nuts? Is a 34mm OK or better with 1 5/16? Just checking before going to buy one, hopefully they have 1/2" drive. Cheers. |

I used a pair of Multi grips on the end, worked a treat for me, couldn't find the right socket also. |

I bashed and bent so many nuts in the early days before I bought my 1 5/16" socket. It was well worth the $30. Pete |

so hitting a screw driver with a hammer to undo/tighten the nut isn't the right way to do it? ![]() |

yeah i just bought a 1 5/16 socket from the man's toy shop here in townsville (it's just opened - got to love that store!!) - $25 they had both 1/2" and 3/4" drive sockets I had the liberty of having a new nut and the new steering wheel off the car so took both in to the shop to ensure that i got the right sized socket and made sure it fitted inside the steering wheel.... |

Ian here is a website for them http://www.amanstoyshop.com.au/ is an awesome shop - not sure of the street number but it is on Langton st Garbutt next door to Force Rental (which is the cnr langton and woolcock st) as for a mini scene i see a few running around town but only know of 1 other ausmini member - meehal mine is still being rebuilt (but getting closer now... must post an update on that!) once i am driving ours i might look in to trying to organise some local mini's to get together (might look a bit weird me in a Prado trying to flag down mini drivers - i probably wouldnt stop... but if it was another mini driver flagging me down then that is a different story!! ![]() |
