Post subject:  rubber cross connection when placing motor in

Hi

motor has been pulled out of my fathers mini and we are going to repair that motor because there is too much fiddling to get a rod change (my blue crashed mini motor) into a remote change car with changing the hole etc.

Anyway wanting to know what is the best / easiest way of connecting the rubber crosses after engine has been lowered back in.

Thanks Brenton

Insert U bolt, tighten up nuts,

Repeat process.

You can easily fit a rod change to a remote vechile, invloves drilling a hole & welding/bolting in a peice of flat steel.

Sorry i didnt explain myself properly.

i mean how do i reposition the rubber crosses into the claws with the motor in. Ie rather than pulling whole wheel assembly off and pushing them back together
(hope that makes sence)

Yes it does...but most people line up the drive shaft couplings when they are installing the engine...it may be easier to crack a ball joint to give yourself some room to manouvere at this stage.
