Picked up my Wife's Mini today... :D and a Ute full of engines and bits and pieces. :o
How do I find out what I've got?

Will take some pictures tomorrow when I have a bit more time.. and light and post them in the garage pic thread.

Engine number is stamped on the block. You will find it under the thermostate (Radiator Hose) or above Number 1 spark Plug. Head Number you have to take the rocker cover off

Sweet as thanks Gafmo.
Will check them tomorrow as best I can.. nothing some degreaser and a socket set won't fix.

Post my findings tomorrow but so far counted at least five gear boxes, four engines
with no boxes and a complete 850 (with GB), numberous carbs, manifolds, drive shafts,
gears, flywheels and the list just goes on and on.
:D
