I had one, but tossed it after it started arming itself on the freeway at 100KMH... ![]() IMO a few decent immobilisers are more useful. ![]() |

We sell Dynamco alarms at work, (and fit) and this is what will be going in my mini (if it ever gets anywhere near remotely finished) ![]() I'd recommend the Paralyser P385 http://www.dynamco.com.au/cgi-bin/produ ... model=P385 |

I had an alarm installed (in Melb) by a company. The alarm is good. The installer was a great guy and did an OK job ..... but the company itself??? Let's just say that before they had my money the guy in charge was SO SO nice but as soon as the alarm was installed and there was a small problem he turned into a ........ I'll let your imagination do the rest. As far as after sales service I think that these guys have a LOOONNNNG way to go before I recommend them to anyone. My two bobs worth. Mod Edited the company name, dont want Scott getting Sued matey... (Pristic) |

I had a fairly basic (in todays terms) alarm from VIPER installed in the mini. It had been through about 4 of my cars before this over about 10 years!! It got water damaged at one stage while behind a kick panel. Customer service I found quite helpful, basically he put me onto a good quality contact cleaner, and I never had a problem with it ![]() I'd suggest a glass break & shock sensor, but ditch the microwave sensor. They never set up right, I usually end up disconnecting them. My mate just got the viper with engine start etc... waste of time, money to burn.. ![]() As the doc said, immobilers are the way to go but.. If you are parked next to a car with an alarm and yours doesn't, just don't leave anything in sight. |
