Hi guys, I am thinking of changing my contessa wheels currently 5x10 to 6x10 with Dunlop Forulma R Tyres. If anyone is running 6x10s have you have any problems with the police, in regards to the rear tyes sticking out a little?? Also how do you find the tyres? I want lots of grip because the ones I have are ^&%$$ lol

Hi, I asked the same ? in here and was soberly advised that the 10x5's were the optimal fit out. I wanted 10x6's but deferred to the KH in the room. I ended up with minilites and dunlop racing rubber.

The width will not make the handling any better as you will still be running on the same tires as everyone else on 5x10's, 165/70R10.

Size is not important. It is what you do with it that counts. 8)

Why does everyone want a teeny weeny car and then they all want to fit bigger wheels, wider tyres, bigger carby, bigger tacho, bigger pedal pads, etc, etc, etc...

If you want bigger things buy a Commodore.

This is the reason must of us stick with 5x10's. 165 width tires are the largest road legal tire available for 10" wheels.
If you go to 13's I think you can get 185's but for all the effort in finding the tires and all the cutting of the arches, adding flares etc. Is it worth it?

13's you can get 175/50's and also 195/40's are available (much rarer) is it worth it? Yes if you want the look and or need them to run bigger brakes.

I much prefer 10" wheels on a Mini, but I prefer 145 tyres.
It is much more fun to drive a car with poor grip than to drive one with lots of grip.
