just quoting DrMini, from http://www.miniportal.com forum "Maintenance is just keeping the pipes from rusting, and keep an eye on the rubber dust boots for cracks. These can still be bought." http://forum.miniportal.ca/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=949 doc, the rubber cups that cover my metal hydrobulbs are kinda cracked... are you talking about those? how are these replaced? (there seems to be no problem with the drive or suspension) i borrowed a hydrolastic pump off a John Goudie for a friend, it works exactly the same as youve described |

Those things are just dust covers. I got a new one from Karcraft a while back. To fit, you need to jack it up, let all the fluid out, remove strut ((hydro version of trumpet), fit the rubber, then reassemble and pump it up. If you're going to that much trouble, I'd replace the knuckle joints while you're in there. But mine are only 34 years old, and still working.. ![]() |
