I would give it a couple of weeks, it's still pretty soft the first week...

Wait a couple of weeks and have a sign writer make you vinyl stripes. Painting stripes on is a pain, and once they are there that is it they are there for good. Vinyl ones can always be taken off.

i dont see a reason why you cant do it after one or two days! once its been baked on it can be heavily buffed and sanded so i dont think vinyls will hurt it

Looking at how the paint lifted up with the stripes on my bonnet I would say give it a few weeks before you have them stuck on...

personally, and from trade experience, i would wait a few weeks.

i know of a couple of situations taht it has stuffed the paint

#1 freshly painted ute, baked and painted by professional shop, had a car cover stuck on it, which actually stuck to the paint. teh cover went on about a week after paint, but stayed on for a couple months.

i also know of another situation, where a car was painted, baked then masked and coated in the plastic to paint another section(engine bay) and when baked the paint stuck to teh plastic.

just my opinion, if theyre staying for good, stick them o whenever,.

Couple of weeks....

Yes the paint is hard enough to do certain, but the solvents still evaporate out of the paint over time, hardening it in the process.
