i was going to rehang morris' doors with new hinges. i could have them colour matched of course but then I thought it might be easier to just get the chrome ones. Any opinions on how they look. Would probably have to do the boot hinges as well for uniformity.
What do you all think ?

Thats it for me. Gaf "the king of bling"mo has given the thumbs down. I guess I'm off to see Rocky at Canto's to get them colour matched.

I used to have chrome (were on when I bought it) and they actualy look pretty good on a black car, prob. less so on brighter colours. They do have a bit of that "unnecesary bling" look about them.

I got mine repainted body colour now as when the pins and bushes go (and they will), you'll have the new pins as an ugly blotch on the chrome surface and its impossible to linish the tops of the pins flash with the hinge like youre supposed to w/o damaging the chrome.

No way. Just colour code them to the body. I have seen chrome boot hinges on a black mini and they looked OK but for door hinges I think it's too conspicuous. I agree with comments about the pins too. I don't think chrome would last too long before the pins rear their ugly heads. Just my 2 bobs worth.
