I've got the seats for the Cooper S all retrimmed and ready to go, but they've got a different set of front seat frames to the ones delivered on the car...

These have a spring hook to stop the seats from swinging forward.

They're easily enough removed from the frames if I wish, but when did the lowback seat minis start to become available with the spring hooks mounted on the frames? I guess it would have coincided with the wire loops being mounted in the rear floors as well..It's not a case of accidental clubman frames being used (I think) as I have another set of powder blue seats Mini K seats with the same affliction...

any ideas?

This type of seat was first used on the Mini with lift up door handles, Both Mini K & Cooper S,
As A matter of interest The lift up door was originally designed for the round nose Mini, and was eventually used on the Mini Clubman

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.
