Post subject:  RIP tiny or is it? * UPDATE*
as the title reads tiny is no longer with us. thanks to a drunk driver on thursday nite ive been told there more then likely no saving him. these pics are the aftermarth of a crazied drunk driver trying to evade arrest.

the pics dont make it look as bad, but in person you can tell the extent of the damage. possibly are ride of according to the panelbeaters, NRMA insured me for 5 grand. but im just wondering is it worth trying to repair him or to leave him be and just take the bits i will need for tiny 2. :cry: i couldnt help but cry at the accident and fill with rage at the same time, after repeatively telling police i wanna beat the guy to death. they calmed me down and told me to relax. the damage is far beyond want those pics show.

the driver that hit me with a hilux managed to rip the front tyre off the driveshaft and bend a heap of panels and the A pillar. the car that was behind me lost her door which was ripped of by the utes alloy tray.

Crap Joe , that's terrible . Were you in Tiny at the time (and are you ok ?)or was he parked ?

It's not so much the bent guard and door , it's how badly the shell is twisted as well . Hope Tiny can be saved (need to save everyone we can) .

Need more pics but doesn't look that bad, seems mostly front guard etc.
Of course, if it's an insurance & panelshop job you don't get much action for $5K. The hail damage on our Falcon was $7.5K... :lol:

i was driving tiny at the time. just got a bruised arm and possibly fractured elbow.

Well take it easy and listen to the doctor's , you can always get another mini but new bones and joints are harder to come by . Glad you made it out of Tiny OK .

It is not a matter of how much your car is insured for. That may be totally irrelevant in this case. Do you know who hit Tiny?

That person has damaged your car and it is up to that person and not your insurance company to put things right. If it costs $10,000 dollars to fix then that is what that person is reponsible for.

Tiny looks fixable, it would be a lot of work but it looks fixable.

the guy who hit tiny is a 50 yr old P plater. he's now in police custody i believe. that guy will never pay to repair that car. :cry: the NRMA are going to access it soon and i will have to make a decision if they write him to either buy him back or to just move on. :cry:

i tell ya what after i got hit even the cops were abit nervous around me. as much as im glad i made it out, it just pisses me off that the first time i have driven tiny in over 1 and a half months would possibly be my last.

That's good in theory, but if he's not insured or got no dough then it's up to Joe and his insurance...
