I need to get some new extactors , I need to know a couple of things My engine is 1310 , low compression , standard head, single 1.5 su , cooper cam , gets driven but not thrashed , good torque . 1 , best type eg maniflow freeflow or LCB or whatever 2, best place to buy , price etc 3 , are the genuine imitation maniflows any good 4 , anything else I have forgotten or would be good to know Thanks |

Yeh I have extractors now but they have been patched up a few times , not very efficient , rusty , and don't look the best , not unlike myself some unkind people would say. |

If you have a single 1-1/2" SU on the standard 998/1275 Mini manifold, a Maniflow LCB may not fit. Centre pipe comes out too far, and it's not a great idea to bash it down. You would probably need to get an aftermarket inlet manifold, eg a Minispares one. |

I just received a Maniflow Stage 2 lcb from MS in the UK for my 1360 van. Comparing it with the Brownriggs on my S the bores are slightly smaller and the pipes don't go back so far horizontally from the head, nor do they hang down so far under the body. But ehy are well made and by all accounts deliver the goods. |

Yes I am running a mini spares heated manifold single 1.5su . Slide if you don't mind how much did it cost in total eg postage etc. |

Extractors were 71 pounds, postage was 50 pounds. Exchange rate is currently quite high on the pound - 1 : 47. So all up about 120 pounds which equates to 254 Aussie $. I couldn't find any local suppiers who even had the latest development Stage 2 Maniflow, and most wanted more for the earlier version. |

Grant I use the maniflow LCB. It was only $230ish from Karcraft when I got it. Also has the advantage that you can pick it up. Even with my bigger bore and cam, these work really well for torque, which is what you are after. Any bigger diameter primaries and the exhaust velocity will be detrimental to torque at low revs. Having the junction of the 1/4 pipes any further away moves the torque band up in revs as the pulse tuning varies. Anyway I reckon they are good enough for your application and they are well finished product. cheers michael |

Yes, airmail - here in 8 days delivered to the door by courier. You can bring in up to $1,000 worth of stuff before Customs may hit you with duties. I've got Brownriggs on my 1310 Cooper S with a high first gear (3 speed synchro sc/cr) and a 3.4 diff with a Wade cam and 45 weber and I don't notice any lack of torque. |

Thanks for your replys and input it is much apreciated , mickmini I gather that the ones that you are using are the LM004 type not the LM004S11R, I just rang Karcraft and LM004 are $209.20 inc GST and some one paid $257.50 on ebay about 2 days ago go figure ! ! ! |

LM004 is the original Maniflow LCB. The stage 2 is an improvement on an already very good design. According to Maniflow the LM004SIIR.is an: Exciting New Manifold Development: Maniflow Stage 2 LCB + RCM EXHAUST SYSTEM Maniflow has improved the design and performance of their highly successful LCB in conjuction with top mini racing engineers. Maniflow has now turned their attention to the exhaust system, by creating a reverse cone magaphone setup similar to the race version but in a road configuration, thus creating a better BHP but more importantly a much improved torque and power curve. This has been done by enlarging and shaping the middle pipe which creates a type of vortex, simulating a pulsing effect similar to the outside two pipes and on the exhaust system, by using a reverse cone megaphone (RCM) to create similar back pressures.
