Im having a huge dilemma, i think my love for my MK1 Cooper S is fading, i've owned it for nearly 10 years, i picked it up today from getting it tuned from Mini Classic, it has a fresh Graham Russell 1330 in it, but i don't know what it is with it but i no longer have a passion for it.

We have gone through a lot together, i have won NSW & Australian Motorkhana Championships in it, Won the 2007 Hay mini nationals in it.

It has all the good stuff in in & is a genuine matching numbers 67 Cooper S. It's a ex Bathurst car from 1967 also.

It's not like it costs me much money being on club rego, ony about $150 a year.

I have along with this car, a Mk2 Cooper S, a Clubman GT, 1/2 ownership of Scrapper 2, and a doll of a 71 Clubman i bought a few weeks ago.

So do i keep it & not love it? Do i sell it & use the money to pay off my XR6, my truck & our credits cards?

I just don't know what to do, heres pics of it, im after opinions please.

im with speedy Doogie, its a beautiful car that is costing next to nothing to keep it every year... ofcourse it is hard to show it some loving when you have a few other cars going, but i reckon you should hold onto it mate... you'd miss it too much when it was gone...

Park it in someone elses garage for a couple of weeks and see if you miss it.

foster it out for a year or two i know a loving family here in victoria with lots of other minis to keep it company :lol: or else you could sell the xr6 :lol: :lol:

Hi,
I'd keep it. Fifteen grand doesn't go that far or pay off much. Once it's gone you can't buy the memories back.

Stop your your Bitchen and Braggen you know how good it is and the fact it does everything you want it do for you :roll:
If you get rid of it you will kisk yourself and will be misirable soon after and will pine for it and we will have to pay for it :twisted:
I'm actualy thinking the oppisite to Morris 1100 and let some one on Ausmini store it and let you sweet for 3 months not knowing what is happening with it.

You don't reliase what you have till You have lost it :lol:
If you want pain and want for it again I'll take it for a rap on a Khana for you..Promise i won't Bend it :wink:

I know the feeling well, having owned Mini's for 30 years there suse are times when I have thought I would finish with them and sell the lot. It hasn't come to that yet and for one reason or another doubt it ever will.
Sure something else might be the flavour of the month for a while (your XR6 for example, but then they are like Bums, everyone has one) but you will always want to come back to the Legend.
If you sell it you can't go back, just take a deep breath and put it aside for a while.
I had an XB GT Hardtop when I was 21, that was 25 years ago and still regret selling it to this day and think about it more than I care to admit.
The beauty of a car is that we can put it in the corner for as long as we like while we play with somesthig else and it will never complain!
wish I could do that with...... well you know!!!!!
