Our temp actually goes over 100 degrees here somedays but seeing that you come from Really down under a heat wave would be in the high teen from down there, so you would never need an A/C.

Its a wife thing anyway, personally I prefere the 4/80 A/C

4 windows down and 80 K's................

Gotta keep the boss happy..................

Any AC specailist should be able to fix any dramas with it, i had mine gased by a mobile guy, he came to me. It can't be very hard.

I wonder if they would know what they were looking at, I don't want them to stuff things up, I think the dash may have to be removed and if they don;t know what they are doing they could cause damage or I might just be too protective of my toy...suppose I should just take it to san Auto Elrec and see what they have to say.

Could the "spagetti" be messed up any further Davo?? Do you know if the system has a full load of gas in it? Have you got a wiring diagram to work off?

Ac systems are fairly generic when kept simple (no climate control or photo electric cells) so you should find the fault finding will be fairly simple for a decent AC mechanic.
I can understand however you don't want some hamfisted attempt to remove the nice burr dash in your Rover causing damage...
