Im sorry guys.. yes I'm female, and kinda blonde I guess, but how the frigging hell do you get the search function to find what you're after?

Ive tried many times and all I get is a million topics or none!

ok for example I want to look up "cleaning engine bay" coz I wanted to know the best way to clean the engine bay, use degreaser or hot soapy water/truck wash. I was going to put them through my air compressor and spray gun... but I figured this topic must have been covered so how do you get it to find topics with "cleaning" in the topic subject line? or even "cleaning engine bay" either in a post or topic heading?

i use search a lot.

use the Search for all terms checkbox if you have a string of words to search for, otherwise, you will get EVERY subject with you search criteria.

If you look at the results, the words you searched for will be highlighted in ORANGE.

If you use Search for any terms or use query as entered ANY post with cleaning, engine and bay will come up. :?

 thats funny....

try searching for cleaning engine....or cleaning

ya never know!

One thing is for sure....you will get this thread again!

If you are after info on cleaning your engine bay, think about what people would be talking about on that subject, and use that search criteria.

just as an afterthought...the search function is only looking for word matches. It's not like Google, where info can be related, with out a matching word.
