What do people recommend for a really good mini car manual?

I would suggest getting at least two (different explanations in each one can make things easier to understand).

I have a Haynes and a Scientific Publications ("the morris / austin mini workshop manual"). I find them good, between the both of them I can usually understand what they mean.

Most of the time I prefer the Scientific Publications one because it is more short and to the point, whereas the Haynes is heavy reading in comparison (if you really don't know what you are doing) IMHO.

Simon, it has its uses, the smog etc appendix is good, ditto the automatic section- but there are far too many errors in the rest.
No mention of Oz windup doors except Clubman, and that is very sketchy.
IMO if you drive an Oz Mini get an Oz manual, but NOT this one.
I reckon the first 2 in Simon's list are best.
