Post subject:  Brake lines?

going to pull the metro turbo calipers off my beast in the next month and rebuild them.

does anyone have any opinions on the way to plumb in the four spots.

The PO has got a single pipe running from car to caliper, then a little u shaped pipe, joining the two entry points on the caliper. I've seen this done before but am open to other suggestions, like running twin pipes from body of car to caliper?

also the pipe that comes from the master then splits in two to feed left and right sides of the car...... the right side is all solid metal, aka original style, but the pipe running under the grill feeding the left side has been replaced with a flexible braided line. Anyone know if this is an okay idea or dangerous?

That's normal when fitting Metro calipers to a non-Metro. The Metro has two flexible hoses from the car in the name of redundancy in case one is damaged..

I love it when car manufacturers acknowlege a design mistake and fit a backup method in next to it. :D
