Well I finally did it, after talking about it for years, I bought a Carcoon. I initially got the next size up but it was way to big at 4.7m long and 2m wide. This is the smallest size at 4m long and 1.8m wide. It has 3mths money back guarantee so I guess Ill see how it goes with our humidity and make sure it dosnt sweat. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sweet. I'll be interested to know how it goes. Do you think it'll take alot of juice to run? |

Looks good. How easy is it to get the car in and out? If, let's sayyou had the car out on Saturday and knew you were going to use it again on Monday, would you put it away? Or would you leave it out? |

It uses two PC style fans, there specs say it will use about $20 a year to run. It also hooks up to the car battery to ensure it stays charged. If the Mains AC goes out then it runs the fans off the cars battery until the Mains AC comes back on. It takes about 5mins and two people to get it in. But what im going to do is make a frame above it and hoist it up when i use the car. That way all ill have to do is unzip it and hoist it up. That makes it a one man show then. ![]() |

Ill be keeping a close eye on it. They reckon it will keep the moisture out, but only time will tell. Im might invest in some silica gel satchels and put them in there just to be sure. It gets pretty moist up here over the wet season.. Oh and Spaceboy, no the fans are just like PC cooling fans, so can barely hear them. |

I'm reticent (for the kids here, scared) to make humour after being shot down by the 'Humour (Less) Police on this site lately. However, anyone that would actually buy a bubble to put their car in, obviously has a sense of humour. My Suggestion is, cut four holes where the tyres are situated (in the plastic) that way using a battery to power the bubble, you can actually drive the car around whilst still in the Bubble. Go Bubble Boy |
