What is used to secure the battery behind the driver in a van?
Is it some kind of strap or a steel bracket?

Cheers.

Mine has nothing securing the battery, but the Mini King catalogue specifies a battery cover and securing rod.. so I'd assume it takes the same sort of arrangement as a sedan -- two hooked rods and a retaining bracket, then the fibre/card battery cover.

When I striped my van it had the remnants of a leather/material strap.

Thanks guys.
It's going in for a roadworthy on Friday so I might just throw a strap around it and hope it passes.

Just had a quick peek at it, I can't see or feel any holes in the panels around the battery so I don't know. I'd say a 1" nylon webbing strap would be enough to get you through ;)

I just put a tie down strap 'round it so it's not goin' nowhere!
