a handy feature is that it comes in 6 litre oil containers, so every 6th oil change is free (minis take 5 litres, so 1l left over from the first change, then 2l left over, then 3l, then 4l, then 5l and we can use that bit next time)

but tonight, I learnt a new bonus for having the 6 litre container - it took me exactly 1 litre to realise I'd forgotten to put the sump plug in....

as I usually do, I'd poured the oil in until it filled the rocker cover (about 3 litres), then thought "oh crap" and put my finger over the sump plug hole, fished around for a rag to clean the plug with, and screwed it in - put the rest of the oil in and it's right on the MAX mark

woo hoo :D

You're comparing a basic but good engine oil that's probably pretty similar to what mini's originally ran in their prime and suits their gearboxes to something all but oproven to be expensive snake oil ???

You'd better step out of that smoke that's blowing across from the neighbours house , it's starting to affect you

I'm a recent convert to KMX. Can't see any probs with it myself. I used to use Penrite HPR30 but as long as you change your oil regularly I don't reallly see any need to go with the "snake oii" brand.

And like sgc says, anything good enough for GR is good enough for me!!!!

My two bobs worth.

Cheers,
BC.

As usual Spacey your being a idiot, KMX is made by Castrol, and they don't know much about oil do they!!

If you ever happen to be at Graham Russell's place have a look round at all the empty KMX containers that are around the place.

And maybe you might see a big grunt A series engine on the dyno that has, well would'nt you know it, KMX oil in it.

I refer back to my 1st point again, your a idiot.

Doogie

i was not comparing k-mart oil to the polarizer,

but GR to brockie, both highly respected, but that doesnt mean i have to agree with them.

i dont want to use 60's technology oil in the same way i dont want to use crossplys.

i think if kmx was any good, it wouldnt be kmx.

(if you delete my post again, why dont you delete doogies post making personal attacks.)
