Looking to put a nice shiney coil on the toy for summer, ![]() is there any special requirement for a coil for a Single point injected motor, on a 1275.. ![]() what output do I need.?????????????????????? ![]() or do I just use a normal coil.....are they all the same. |

I'm not sure about the requirements for the injected motors... However for a dizzy motor you want a 3 Ohm coil with as high an output voltage as you can find. A higher output coil will allow a larger spark plug gap providing you distributor, rotor, cap, leads and plugs are in good condition. You can also use a 1.5 Ohm coil but then you need to add a ballast resistor in series so there isn't much point. As for looks you can get a stainless steel cover the the coil fits into to make it 'look' like a shiny chrome one, then you can just make do with any old coil... |

I went through that site but couldn't work out which coil I needed for an SPI mini. I'd be pretty keen to buy one though... |
