Can anyone tell me what the exact colour ref was for 1969 Cooper S roof white.

Crystal White 11572 Dulon & Duco

Is this correct?

Crystal white was the common colour...the sticker off the bulkhead will confirm it for your car however (if it still exists).

Seems the the only white in 69 was Crystal white, that according to the Dulon paint codes.

Hey willy - you got other colour formulas for other years?

Looking at 1963 colours - Shadow Blue and any of the whites.

Hi Wombat
Yeah sorry the actual formula for some colours are hard to find. I did have some success with some paint manufactures in finding the formulas though. Glasurit do have a database of old formulas and can mix the exact colour. No such luck with DeBeer who I tend to use nowdays.
Check your paint supplier to see if they can cross reference the colours in their system.
Good luck.

Slight Hi-jack

Is this chart set in stone? Could your car be painted "Sky Blue" after 1964 for example?

Not set in stone no.
But gives an idea of colours used by BMC Australia between 1963 to 1967.

Willy--
cool, where do you find these?

My '66 S lists New British Racing Green on the plate--on the page above, there is British Racing Green. Is there a difference, or did they just leave off the "new" from the name of the color?

Also, do you happen to have the 1970 sheet and/or a link to the web page?

Thanks,
bmc

I doubt it, they didn't leave the 'New' off 'New Cedar Green'...

Yeah, agreed. Though the one shown is almost identical to what's on the inside of my doors. I have never found a chip for New British Racing Green to see what it looks like.

I wouldn't trust the colour you can see on your screen, it'll be nothing like what the chip actually looks like in person.
