Today me and my family was victim to that bugger called fire!

dad came home early from work, to find a electrical fire had started in the garage at home, and the whole left front of the shed was on fire. i was at my sisters house watching targa while this was happening. dad managed to put the fire out by him self with a garden hose, but if he was 10 minuets later, the whole shed would have been alight. along with my beloved Mini. I am so lucky she was not burnt. she was literally 2 feet away from the blaze. and with a tank of petrol i dont think she would have lasted! now i did loose a lot of mini bits, including my new miniGT badge:’( but it was dark when i got home, so i dont know the extent of the damage yet, i dread to see what it looks like in the morning, il also get pics to show u all how god dam close it was to the mini. thank god it was not 12 hours later, other wise dad, who sleeps also in the garage, would have died.

We used that garage for everything! upstairs was storage for all our stuff, and down stairs was dads bedroom, my mini and all dads work shop tools, laths, drop saws etc...... and now we have to take EVERYTHING out of it, and rebuild it.

also ill get some pics in the morning, so i can show u everything!
I will keep u all posted. josh

hey guys, its not to bad, in the day light.

yeah it was a electrical fire, its just lucky dad got it out with what he had! and damn! the mini windows were down, so the inside is full of water and soot, all my audio gear, seats etc... and the motor is coverd, but we also lost these huge pieces of ceder, like real old ones.. etc.

tar

friends of ours live right on the bush reserve in Berowra NSW and last year the Jan Bushfires came to their back fence. Elvis (the big fire fighting chopper) came in, scooped water from their pool and dumped it over them, the fire and their house. They got it all on video and it is the most amazing thing I have seen.

Scary stuff! Glad you were OK. You can replace posessions, but not human life.

thanks man

today was crap. we filled a skip in about half an hour with stuffed stuff, and we need another for the rest of the burnt stuff. we lost everything above the fire, and everything in the shed was coverd in soot, and has to be sent off to be cleaned. the mini has been burnt a bit, and I will probs have to replace all the rubber round the rear left. and the car is so bloody sooty. I lost a few mini bits, but it is all coverd, so ill get them replaced. :D

cheers guys- take care where u park ur minis!!! I would hate this to hapen to any of u guys.
