Post subject: | 71 clubman blue slip |
hey guys its about time for blue slip for my 71 clubman, just awaiting a few minor parts and a wheel alignment. A few questions first though; 1) does my car need a hazard lights and rear seat belts? 2) can someone give me the lengh of the main engine steady bolt and that goes into the engine in front the master cylinders? and any tips that you guys have for getting through blue slip. (i know the usuals of no oil leaks and nice clean car ) thanks |

1) no hazard lights, my 73 clubby doesnt have them, almost certain you have to have rear seat belts. 2) not a clue. |

You should have seatbelts IF your car has had seat belts at anystage in it's life. If it has never had rear seat belts at any stage in it's life then you don't need them. I am unsure as to when the change over occured for all mini's to have rear belts in them. |

Rear seat belts became mandatory from 1 Jan 1971, so a '73 car has to have them unless it's re-complied as a two-seater. |
