It's worth the drive to have a look, Burnwell is like Kmart for garnet. They let me have a play in their blasters using different grades of Bengal garnet/glass/plastic bead to show me the difference...There's like 6 different garnet grades, four glass and a similar number of plastics.

Was kinda cool in an industrial manner...

The cheap stuff will turn to dust. It's worth the effort to find a good supplier.

They're expensive for the tolls (unless you do this stuff 24/7), I just used them for the consumables.

There's a 20 dollar gun available from supercrap that works really well in a home environment. The difference is it hasn't got a large mixing chamber before the gun's nozzle.
The a large mixing chamber lets the suspended moisture turn the garnet to mud, so it clogs up (more than usual). I've got a drier but still it's pretty ordinary. To clear the clogged gun I put my (gloved) finger over the end of the gun and blow the garnet backwards through the feed hose.
