called mini spares last night.

all genuine synchro rings have been sent back to rover or who ever.

as there was to many complaints of failure after 1000miles lol.

so all stock has been recalled.

any idea's where i can get some solid old stock genuine synchro rings?


is anyone aware of this problem?

Get old ones out of gearboxes, if they still have .020" clearance from the gear's dogs, get that face surface ground by .020" and use them instead.
Unlike many new ones now, they are round, bedded in and their taper angle is correct.
The very best ones are pre-1969, these were forged and have `W" shaped marked on the outside. But the later ones work fine for road use if ground as said.
