Five years of blood, sweat and tears and a fair bit of cash has finally paid off. Today we PASSED REGISTRATION. We are now legally on the road. Through Regency in one go - no issues, top guys. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Well done mate. What an achievement. I bet there is a great feeling of relief knowing that the car is now officially bonafide. |

Frankly, I'm amazed they approved it - not amazed due to your levels of engineering skills etc, but amazed they allowed such a modification ![]() Well done - hope to have a closer look one day. |

![]() Well done - hope to have a closer look one day. It's not the first time these things were approved, there were a few about years ago, the 1st one I knew of was in Wollongong. Had a pair of 997s or 998s in it.... ![]() |

Well done , now go out and have some fun with it ![]() I could imagine trying to register somethig like that in NSW , no matter how well engineered it was the RTA staff wouldn't be able to handle two engine numbers for one car (I spent 2 weeks trying to register a set of mobile traffic lights , they each had to be registered seperately but rigidly joined together to be towed , there were a thousand of them already registered in NSW and the RTA owned several hundred themselves but they stil couldn't figure it out ....) |

I have used rod change box's with one gear stick. You can-not easley isolate one gear box / engine. I will post some more info and pics over the weekend. |

Will the car be at Minis At The Mill? It looks like it would be a good car for a feature in The Mini Experience - (there was one in Issue 1, but it was a race car and not registered.) Have a chat to the editor, he should be interested - oh, hang on, that's me. Ooh, and I am interested. Give me a call (03 5250 4842 or 0427 537 443) or email me your details and I will call you. Cheers, Watto. ![]() |

Nice work on getting that through Regency, would of loved to see the look on their faces when you showed them what's in the boot !! ![]() Out of interest what were the main modifications that you were required to make to get it through? Where in SA are you too... Looking forward to more pics ![]() |

Interesting project mate and looks like you've done it well. Is it based on the original Pommie one or pretty much your own idea? Was it John Cooper that was nearly killed in the original Twini? Al |
