Post subject:  wiper washers standard on 68 deluxe?
Hi, my '68 deluxe has washer jets, but no washer bottle/pump.

did the car originally come with wiper washers? Reason I'm asking is it's due to go for roadworthy test soon.

If it did, is it a necessity to have them operational for roadworthiness in Victoria?

All Minis back in the 60s had a mechanical plunger `pump' under the dash. You can still buy them from Minispares UK I think.

I posted some pics a while ago of my pump.

My car was built end of 66 (many 66 parts on it) and sold in Feb 67.

thanks.. that manual pump is a bit pricey!

I think I'll get this clubman style washer bottle with electric pump built in.

I run a s/h Toyota bottle with electric pump, it lives under the LH guard along with the ex-Fiat 124S Fiamm air horns. :P
