I was rowing the Moke along at its normal 11,000rpm in second up a hill and BANG and no drive. I limped it home and pulled it down.

The clutch was fine, however the spacer and the c retainer had exploded into a million pieces.

Any clue as to why they would fail, but leave the clutch plate intact?
