whats the advantage of fitting an electronic dizzy to an A+ engine, how much would it cost, and is there anyone west of Melbourne that can fit one properly. |

bascically... smoother running - better idle, no adjustment (point gap), not affected by moisture... cost varies depending on system used... there's the flame thrower, aldon, petronics, and recently found a cheap one from the uk.. |

I don't think there is any advantage for you Davo, your car should have it. Most A+ units do. ![]() |

They stay in tune longer, and are more resistant to wet weather. There are a few options here- Lucas electronic Nissan Pulsar (fit an A+ drive dog on) Pertronix Flamethrower (see link below) Or, fit a Pertronix ignitor to the dizzy you already have. http://www.vintageperformance.com/retro ... /lucas.htm |

Davo if you're talking about your SPI mini.....it's electronic. It's also different to a non-injection unit as well, it has even less stuff inside! |
