OK I have the bows, I have the lining, I have the 400 butterfly clips painstakingly borrowed over time from work.... what glue do I need. I dont want there to be any stains coming through...

A really good quality spray on contact adhesive. The 3M stuff from craft shops is OK , but I have used better quality brand which I purchased from an upholstery shop many years ago. Sorry I cant remember the brand but the hood lining in my Cooper S is still held firmly after 10 years.

To do an original look job you will need to use glue that comes through and stain as that is what BMC used !!!
